We are in the home stretch for our 2022 fundraising goals. Help us make it the rest of the way!

When we launched in 2019, PIC was an all volunteer organization. In 2020 we raised over $8,000 through crowdfunding, local grants, and business sponsors. With support from more funders, our 2022 budget grew to almost $50,000. We're nearly there, but need your help in the home stretch. Can you help us raise $5,000 before the year is out?

Get to know PIC...

In 2021 PIC:

  • Raised $8,000 to support 16 artists who worked on our 2021 8-month Residency

  • Facilitated online readings and artist feedback for 3 playwrights

  • Held 6 virtual salons and 1 in-person salon at Park Hill Orchard

  • Connected with 100 multidisciplinary artists and 230 community members

Our Impact

Main Projects for 2022:

  • Quarterly in-person Arts Salons (which this year are supported through a Cultural Investment Portfolio Grant thanks to MCC)

  • Two Mini Residencies with Public Presentations

  • 2022 Playwright and Play in Residency- Return to Abya Yala by Aria "Lune" Acevedo. A 9 month residency to support the development of this Latinx and Indigenous focused piece.

We have already raised over $27,000 to support our 2022 projects thanks to grants and subsidies from the Art Angels, Scarlet Sock Foundation, Massachusetts Cultural Council, CitySpace, 50 Arrow Gallery, and individuals. Our goal is to raise $5,000 more from sustaining donors like you. These transformational gifts will ensure PIC can continue this work long into the future.

What We're Proud Of

Whether it's a table read and feedback session with the playwright, or a long-term developmental residency, PIC's impact is clear. Not only are we transforming our local theater community, we're helping to create a wider platform for local work. In just three years of operation, PIC's support of playwights has helped propel their work to full productions, staged readings, national awards, and publications. Check out some of the stats!

Will you help us reach our goal?
