Incubation Workshop Registration
Join PIC for the public reading of our first Incubation Workshop of 2025: KEVIN by Kate Brandt, with Dramaturgy and Direction by Talya Kingston and sound design by
Gabriel CiFuentes.
What is Incubation Workshop?

Normally we host one Incubation Residency a year: an opportunity for a playwright to develop a brand new script over the course of 9 months with a hands-on creative support team that may include actors, dramaturg, director, theatrical artistic advisors, fellow playwrights, and more.

However, in 2025, we've split the single 9 month Incubation Residency in two roughly 4.5 month Incubation Workshops. KEVIN is the first of these, and we are excited to present a public sharing of this work in progress on June 1st!

Incubation Workshop readings are $10 to attend, but no one is turned away from lack of funds. If the ticket price is out of reach for you, please select the subsidized ticket option. If you are able to contribute to our subsidized ticket fund, there will be an opportunity to do so at time of registration. Reserve your ticket now by any form of payment. Cash or check only at the door.

Synopsis of KEVIN: KEVIN is a solo performance about struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as a woman and mother. Through the lens of colorful characters, this piece brings levity to an otherwise heavy topic and aims to normalize the complexity of living, surviving and (hopefully) thriving in life, despite having compromised brain chemicals.

The reading begins at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 7:00pm. Please enter the 33 Hawley Building via the downstairs courtyard. The reading will take place in The Workroom.
