PLAY INCUBATION COLLECTIVE LETTER OF AGREEMENT FOR PIC LITERARY COORDINATOR

This is a letter of agreement between Play Incubation Collective (PIC) and the individual serving on the PIC Literary Committee as Literary Coordinator for 2025, hereby known as COORDINATOR. Please read the agreement below and sign your consent.

COORDINATOR is considered hired as an independent contractor upon the signing of this document. Once you have clicked "submit" you will be redirected to a document featuring the stipulation of this agreement for your records.

Services Provided. COORDINATOR agrees to act as part of the Literary Committee in service of determining play selections for the 2026 season.

COORDINATOR agrees to:

1. Reach out to PIC reviewer database with sign-up form for current submission review round. COORDINATOR shall assign a response date determined through conversation with PIC Co-Directors. 

2. COORDINATOR aims to assign each piece to a minimum of two reviewers.

3. COORDINATOR will use the data in the sign-up form to help match reviewers to scripts for which they have a complimentary personal area of expertise wherever possible. For example, if a piece features a Jewish family and their Jewish identity is a significant part of the story, it would be helpful to assign that piece to reviewers who mention their own Jewish identity in the Artist Intake Form. Not every piece will require such specificity but, for those that do, this kind of pairing is ideal.

4. COORDINATOR will be in communication with PIC Co-Directors throughout the process via slack, email, or phone as needed.

Compensation. 

Literary COORDINATOR will receive a $150 stipend for this position at the end of the submission cycle. The submission process closes on September 1st, 2025. Final reviews must be completed by September 15th, 2025. PIC will either mail a check to Program COORDINATOR or deliver in person- dependent on which method will be received by Program COORDINATOR soonest.
